In December of 2022 part of the country was affected by a large winter storm. West Virginia declared a state of emergency, and temperatures we in the negatives. With temperatures so cold many residents in the state were faced with bursting pipes due to water freezing in them. When the temperature gets cold it is recommended to keep a slow drip on faucets to keep water moving. It is recommended by professionals that any water lines on an exterior wall should be insulated to help keep them from freezing.
