According to the United States Department of Labor, the military currently discharges over 225,000 service members annually. Veterans form a sizable pool of skilled and experienced individuals in our society. However, there is no "employment agency" for veterans to turn to when they return from active duty. As a mission-driven company, our core values and mission align with the teachings of the military to their service members. By hiring a veteran you are not only providing a job to someone who made a selfless commitment to our country, but you are allowing them to start a career.
SERVPRO understands the value that veterans, military spouses, veteran caregivers, and disabled veterans bring to our SERVPRO Family. We believe that it is our responsibility and civic duty to help these returning veterans as they transition back into civilian life. It is incumbent on us to provide them with opportunities to find meaningful work and reintegrate into the business world. It is our corporate goal to hire 1,000 veterans by 2022. The individuals who benefit most from this program are our customers. As anyone who has ever worked with prior service employees can tell you, their integrity and attention to detail are unparalleled.
The opportunity for us to help those who have fought for our freedom is an honor.
